Kirsten Dunst & Garrett Hedlund have broken up after four years together

Every few months, there’s a rumor about Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund. They were together for four years and their relationship was quiet and low-key, but they didn’t hide it. The last time we checked, there was a rumor that Garrett had proposed. But probably not. Because now every media outlet is getting the nod that Garrett and Kiki are over. Us Weekly, People Magazine, E! News and more all reported the news around the same time last night.

Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund are no longer together. The couple called it quits after four years together, PEOPLE confirms. The pair met on the set of On the Road in 2010. Earlier this year, Dunst, 33, and Hedlund, 31, were noticeably together at the Golden Globes and also attended Fox’s award show party.

Back in November, the Fargo actress got candid about what she looks for in a boyfriend, telling The Edit that she’s “dated men who had more of a feminine side, and it didn’t work.”

Dunst also revealed she’s ready to start a family. “I want to continue acting, but I also want to have kids,” she shared. “I think I’ll be ready to have them in two years or something.”

Judging from Kirsten’s interviews over the years, I think she always viewed herself as a “traditional” sort of woman, as in she wanted to be married and she wanted to have a baby, in that order. I always thought she was waiting for Garrett to propose, and maybe he just never got around to it. In any case, I’m sad about this. I ended up really liking them as a couple and I thought they were good for each other. Sadface!
