Did Duchess Kate know about Jecca Craig’s secret pregnancy & baby?

Here are more photos of the Duchess of Cambridge at her sailing event in Portsmouth on Friday. I already covered the photos of her arrival at the 1851 Trust event, for which she repeated a nautical McQueen. After her arrival, she changed into some kind of sailing suit, which just looks like a bulky tracksuit. She also had to wear a helmet, for safety! Then she got to get a first-hand sailing lesson for Sir Ben Ainslie, and this was the happiest she’s looked in a while. After that, she changed into jeggings and a black sweater – go here to see those photos. My take is still that she was very, very happy to be in the company of Sir Ben Ainslie and so many muscular sailors.

Meanwhile, there’s this interesting little story that’s not really about Kate… except I think it might be about Kate and William. Remember, back in March, that William “abandoned” his family over the Easter holiday so he could travel to Kenya to attend Jecca Craig’s wedding solo, without Kate and without their children? A lot of people side-eyed the hell out of William for that, and there’s still a big question mark over William’s history (and his current situation) with Jecca. Well, I don’t know how this plays into that history and story, but apparently Jecca had a secret baby a few months before her wedding. And we’re just finding out about it now!

Eyebrows were raised when Prince William left his family over the Easter weekend to attend the nuptials of his friend Jessica ‘Jecca’ Craig in Africa. But there may have been an extra special reason for him to attend. For I can disclose that Jecca, 34, gave birth to a boy months before her wedding to Jonathan Baillie, director of conservation at the Zoological Society of London.

Professor Baillie let slip his new paternal status at this week’s Safari In The City gala at London Zoo, which raised £350,000 to fight the illegal wildlife trade. ‘I’m having to help host without Jecca because she’s at home looking after our new baby,’ the Canadian told me proudly.

The couple announced their engagement in April last year, but until now her pregnancy had been a closely guarded family secret and there has still been no official birth notice. The couple’s son is believed to be six months old and has a fittingly zoological name — Wolf.

One reason it is said the Duchess of Cambridge was not at the Easter wedding is she didn’t want to take her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to Kenya. However this would have been the perfect family occasion for their respective offspring to meet. Perhaps there will be another opportunity to do so at the christening.

So Jecca was pregnant for most of 2015. I wonder if William knew? He must have, don’t you think? Even if you accept the story that the establishment-reporters are selling, that Jecca and William have always been close friends and only close friends, that would mean that she would tell her close friend that she’s pregnant, right? Hm. And I still don’t understand why Kate didn’t go to the wedding. The only way that makes any sense is if William specifically told Kate not to come. And why would he do that if Jecca has moved on and she happily had Jonathan Baillie’s baby and they’re in love and they wanted to celebrate that love and their child? And what did Kate know? The Cambridges’ group of friends is so… strange. I guess the children or royalty and the children of aristocrats are always going to be a little bit “off,” but this Jecca-William thing is just next-level.
